I mean, I would. China had no help in developing this and started much later than the US in this matter. Military modernization only started in around 2014
Nice. Enjoy the parade on sept 3. I know I will be feeling extra proud and prideful watching it with my lovely parents. FEELS GOOD!!!

And you based this on…?
Based on what the US has and what China has. And based on reports from both the US and China that I have seen. The US has nuclear carriers, China doesn’t yet. US has nuclear submarines and China is just starting to make them. And for airforce US has stealth bombers and China doesn’t yet. US has 2 stealth fighters. China has one. For drones and missiles their on par with China leading in some parts and the US in others

You were talking about tech level, not amount of ships, subs, etc

Yes I am, sorry if I didn’t make that clear enough
tech level =/= construction numbers, China can have all the required technology but starting late they can theres only so much they could do about it. Also Chinese ships used AESA starting with 052Cs in the 2000s while the US did not field theirs still much later.

Chinese warship tech is no worse if not slightly ahead than the US, especially with domestic gas turbines entering service now. With aeroengines, once CJ-1KA enter serivce than China should catch up in comericial, WS-15 is already in LRIP since 2023, which is similar to F-135 in material if not slightly better in design due to newer. So approx ~10 years behind going by milestone dates, but China has been working concurrently on VCE engine since 2018 if I recall correctly so its possible by next gen engines this distance might shorten to 1-2 years if not shorter.
