Where did this post get the number that a thousand individuals are working for Mossad?

Also, the fact that so much of this equipment is available and left behind means the Iranians will have a field day reverse engineering it. Imagine ATGMs that can be set up by Iranian proxies but controlled/guided by folks sitting in Tehran.

IAEA has confirmed that IAF airstrikes did hit underground enrichment plant at Natanz nuclear facility. Centrifuges were most likely destroyed.

VIENNA, June 17 (Reuters) - An Israeli military strike on Iran's nuclear complex at Natanz directly hit the underground uranium enrichment plant there, the U.N. nuclear watchdog said on Tuesday, revising its assessment after initially reporting it had been hit only indirectly.

The IAEA had previously said an above-ground pilot enrichment plant at Natanz was destroyed but the larger underground plant was not directly hit, although IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said on Monday its centrifuges had very likely been badly damaged by a strike on the plant's power supply.

However, on Tuesday it said on X: "Based on continued analysis of high-resolution satellite imagery collected after Friday's attacks, the IAEA has identified additional elements that indicate direct impacts on the underground enrichment halls at Natanz."

Not sure why people think the Iranian regime is going to collapse, even if the US joins, short of a ground invasion. Saddam Hussein stuck around for 10 years after Desert Storm. Unless the US has some rebel proxy they can use for ground force, airstrikes alone hasn't toppled any regime.

The Kurds have already publicly signalled they are game, and let’s not forget who helped the current band of ‘western approved’ headchoppers to take over Syria, who can move forces through Iraq to get to Iran without needing to worry about any local opposition (if not being able to bolster their ranks with local Iraqi anti-Iranian outfits or just guns for hire seeking fame and fortune). There will also be plenty of mercenaries that can be brought in from across the globe.

With the US and Israel acting as their de facto air force, even a modest number of such jihadists and merc’s can do serious damage. Especially if there are western special forces sprinkled in to help shore them up. Think the early days of the Afghan war with the Northern Alliance.

They don’t need to be able to take over the whole country, just go in and do damage and cause chaos would give Iran massive existential problems.
