The War in the Ukraine

Trying to shrug it as usual tho as those Hawkish in Moscow might be steaming on really making mini-sun in Ukrainian targets.

Yeah.. Guam, Kadena, Osan etc. It's unfortunately just not practical i think to build hardened shelter for something as big as strategic bombers. China did one for H-6 but doesnt seem to expand on more construction of such.
It's not practical to build a concrete box... by what measure? Skilled labor or expense? It seems far more costly to me to lose your nuclear triad than to build concrete shelters.

They definitely could have built many simpler reinforced concrete shelters that are not truely blast resistant as a measure against FPVs but a true hardened aircraft shelter is definitely not a simple reinforced concrete box as it also includes a blast resistant door that is quite costly along with the ventilation and plumbing.

Building and maintaining hundreds of them for an airforce the size of Russia's can be quite costly over time especially the true HAS ones, I doubt even China will build many of them unless it's in a total war time scenario and only for frontline and strategic airbases.

Impressive in any way and Air Force wies a Russian AF Pearl Harbour!

On the other side surely some in other forces are checking their own plans and should ask themselves if something similar could not happen to the own bases?

There is nothing stopping Chinese fishermen, state sponsored or maybe Douyin streamers, from pulling this sort of stunt outside Taiwanese military airports since most are situated close to coast. There is no defense against this type of saturation attack.

I can imagine even simple narco sub designs can be used as one off platforms for delivering FPVs to a nearby airbase/ army base/naval base.
