Regarding how to know if an enemy aircraft has been shot down at range beyond visual identification. Obviously the long range radar, either ground radar or air borne radar is needed, or the radar on the shooting aircraft (J10CE) has to keep tracking until the missile meets the target and both signal disappeared after that.

Also each aircraft type of IAF may have its radar signature already recorded in PAF's data base, thus they should be able to identify what aircraft were shot down. (similarly the Taiwanese can identify which PLAAF aircraft flying around the island as in their regular reports that we saw frequently).

And if an Indian aircraft was damaged but able to fly back to base, its radar signal can be tracked but Pakistan side would not be able to known the damage status.
