I had similar ideas, but from my understanding a lot of the popular paid/freemium "domestic" adult entertainment content that were created (alluded to in my previous Chinese soft power posts) use to be made outside the Chinese mainland. This is no longer the case, most of the popular paid/freemium "domestic" content is now made inside the Chinese mainland.I don't wish to see this normalized as an industry in China due to its negative effects on the character of a society, but you can't suppress it totally as people will find an outlet some way or another.
Chinese entertainment companies operating in foreign countries where it is legal would be an option I have no real qualms about - a regulated industry that keeps performers safe, allows them a means to make a living, and provides a pathway for people of a certain character go abroad (and stay there).
Exploitative materials can be left to the US, Euro countries and Japan
Clearly Chinese crackdowns and regulations aren't working in the Chinese mainland, this is a problem imo. For example, we don't want users and creators in China to use platforms like OnlyFans and illicit payment networks/crypto currencies. This has security implications and also has financial concerns.
