The German R&D center will work with Chinese R&D teams on next-generation technologies in the areas of forward-looking styling, power semiconductors, intelligent chassis and electric drives, Li Auto said.

The company has already developed the first generation of SiC power modules in China, and the German and Chinese R&D teams will work together to develop the next generation of power semiconductor technology, it said.

The German R&D team will support Li Auto's R&D efforts at its Beijing headquarters in China, assisting with next-generation research into cutting-edge chassis technologies such as brake-by-wire, steer-by-wire and fully active suspension.

There you have it, remember folks this is what the Europeans politicians wanted. Countdown until US overpaid think tanks stooges start writing overhyped crap about a Chinese plot to take over Europe with smart cars, countdown until idiotic US politicians start pressuring German and EU politicians to close down Sino-European smart cars R&D centers and manufacturing facilities because the SeeSeePee and Muh National Security crap. Countdown until weak cucked European politicians succumb to the pressure and kill billions of dollars of investment and many jobs.

They need to be careful of forced tech transfer and/or IP infringements. Have the ban hammer ready.

The developed IP is shared between companies.
I think the biggest issue is the potential waste of time and money AND STILL get banned, time and money that the company could had put in other markets like the Gulf or Latin America or researching other stuff.

Huawei invested billions in R&D in Europe and many years trying to create 5G technologies that meet European standards, it had plans of opening manufacturing plants in Europe and still weak Europeans politicians decided to bow down to the stooges in D.C demands to waste years development into the drain.

Galileo, China was invited to be part of the project and invested millions in the project just almost a decade later to kick out of the project by again cucked EU politicians at demand of the stooges in D.C. If China decided to built their own network from the start, it would probably be more mature earlier.

Wingtech and the UK is another example.

I don't see anything in there that's sensitive.

power semiconductor modules are not the most complicated stuff. Neither are power steering, brake by wire and active suspension.

BYD bringing Sea Lion 07 EV and Yangwang U9 to Mexico.

Very interesting that they had increased sales in Mexico to more than 8000 a month by December. That makes Mexico their second largest overseas market.
