so the reason in both cases is that 094 is larger? I think from our previous analysis, 094 is not really that much longer than 093. It is taller due to the missiles, but it's really not that much longer.

What are the actual/official specification for 093 & 094? Other than a select few I don't think anyone outside knows. It is possible that the 094 has more advance quietening measures than the 093. After all if it going to be part of the critical second strike roll then stealth is of utmost importance. I wouldn't be surprised if the 094 is quieter than the 093.
Off-course, this is just my personal view.....I just don't think that because the 093 is smaller automatically make it quieter......

I am not saying 093 is quieter because it's smaller. Generally speaking, larger submarines of the same generation are quieter because you have more to absorb the sound. However, it's also the idea that SSBN of the same generation is louder than SSN as in the case 091 and 092, because one has to fit additional equipment for SLBM and the other one doesn't.

If the 092 is louder then the 091 and the 094 has not gone through any radical changes to reduce noise compared to the 093, then obviously yes. 094 is probably louder. Time will tell I guess.

says that 095 is under construction in North (this I'm pretty sure is true from previous sources in Huludao), it will come out sometime next year and be a cruise missile nuclear submarine (SSGN?). Initial batch has 2 units, uses high temperature gas-cooled reactor, high energy battery pack, certain electric generator, pumpjet propulsion, 650 mm torpedo (can launch shkval type torpedo, wire guided torpedo, some cloned wake homing torpedo), conformal sonar, HD digital nautical charts, optical gyroscope, hydrological conditions real-time correction system, DB with world's different ship's accoustic signature. It says it uses blue-green laser communication and long-wave radio station through the ionosphere and upper mantle to the very low frequency communication. It says that uses newest tooling systems, much higher welding standard and such. noise level is at 100 db.
