Not really. Ukraine had a formidable inheritance in its Soviet military equipment, industrial base, bunker-like buildings, fighting spirit and geographical advantages bordering NATO member states.
Ukraine is Ukraine because they were able to bog down the Russians and inflict serious damage and pain on its war machine.
The Philippines has none of the above and if they were moronic enough to start a real shooting war with China, they will die in vast numbers like the Ukrainians, but not really achieve much beyond costing the PLA some ammo, which the PLA would be able to rapidly replenish.
I have said before that if the US was stupid enough to fall into the trap of getting sucked into a direct shooting war with China in the SCS, it would actually be an ideal start scenarios for China to launch AR, since the USN will be down 2-3 CSGs before AR even starts. China’s SCS island bases might get a bit damaged in the bargain, but those won’t really play any meaningful role in AR while those USN carrier losses will make American direct involvement in AR non-viable from the get go. So it’s actually one of the very few plausible scenarios where China ends up reuniting peacefully with Taiwan if it manages to gut the US Pacific fleet in the SCS so thoroughly and overwhelmingly that even the most die hard TIers won’t be able to suspend reality enough to think they have an ice cube’s chance in hell of resisting AR, so better to cut a deal while it’s still on the table over facing a PLA missile.

Philippines is nothing like Ukraine.
Ukraine's population is over 90% Ukrainian, the main Crimean Tatar Muslim groups largely support Ukraine, Russia's main allies are ethnic Russians in the east. US propaganda easily portrays Ukraine as a victim of ethnic Russians and talks about Russia attacking Muslim Crimean Tatars and Chechens etc.
Philippines is divided into dozens of ethnic groups, with a decades long insurgency by Muslims in the south against the Philippine government who also fought against Japan and the US before them. What's US going to say to Muslims about Philippines?
Philippine military is far more corrupt and incompetent than Ukraine's, Philippines is literally named after a foreign King of Spain and was created by the west.
