Jai Hind! India Superpowar!
Exactly the kind of mentality that will prevent India from progressing to the next level of development.
That Jai Hind journalist couldn't help but take pot shots at the Russian Space Agency's failed moon mission. He hinted that that's because Russia chose to work with China on moon exploration instead of India. He is also proud that because of Russia's snub, India have instead chosen to sign an MOU with JAXA and NASA for lunar exploration. But what he is most proud of is that India can pull off this space mission at only a fraction of the budget of any other space agencies. I think that Indian probe on the moon is probably not as capable as what others put on the moon.
Nevertheless. For Indians to cry "We are a Superpower now!" is very amusing indeed. There is another Asian country that have 5x the economy of India have a already been doing manned space flights for decades, have built a space station, have landed a lunar probe on the dark side of the moon, have landed a rover on Mars, and have quantum communication satellites. That country have never called itself a superpower.
India may have a space program. But India's human development is actually regressing. It's people are becoming more religious, anti-science, and intolerant to minorities. Then they are so quick to call India a Superpowar, and have the cheek to belittle other nations. This is how they will limit their development in the long term.
