I was not aware Canada was looking into introducing selfdom as an option for mortgages. The family heirloom shall be the mortgage bills.

So mortgages are beginning to rival prison sentences in length. Can I do mortgage for life or maybe something like 500 years?

Personally speaking, I think India is a basketcase, that is why I do not talk about it.

However, I will grant that it does have some economic dynamism because it is growing rapidly, but still a very low base, and not much tech to show for it.

My understanding is that countries like that, will grow rapidly to a certain level then stall.

But knowing India, that is the tragedy of India. They will probably have their economy stall even way before the time their economy could stall.

Don't laugh. You know that is possible.

From Intelligence Squared 2 debate 11 Freaking Years ago on India and the much hyped Democracy. The charges made against India can be found pretty much on every third world countries that have the same political system, case in point, the PHILIPPINES.

They can offer you a mortgage that lasts until the end of the universe instead. Your family will even get a special symbolic heirloom to represent it. ( ∞ )

George Chalmers has just seen his 25-year mortgage get extended beyond 55 years to an infinite mortgage (yes, there's a little infinity symbol for the amortization period).

Who even wants to work hard or perform in a nation where you can't even pay off a mortgage within 30 years working a 40 hour/week job...

Thankfully in China this problem was realized by government before it was too late. However, you still have small portions of population rejecting working 996 to pay off 20-30yr mortgages and choosing to lay flat instead. In US, measures such as property taxes limit costs of housing, yet similar phenomenon occurred via the Great Resignation.

LOL. Guys, we are spending time arguing with people online mostly for nothing. Anglosphere's right wing is totally detached from reality. Totally... A random comedy video by a foreigner in China became a government directed psyop with AI-generated people. I don't know how an adult can even think like this.
So if a Chinese man marries a white woman, the white woman has to be AI generated, otherwise, if it's real, then it's detrimental to the American culture? What kind of logic is this?

The bizarre article can be summarized as:
  • Dumbass Chinese zealously protects genetic goldmine... but without sharing with 'Murican companies, it's just a lonely empty goldmine. Can dumb Chinese even science without Superior American intellect, bro?
When the unrepentant psychopaths from Unit 731 shared their data with their ruthless American overlord, the US used these data to conduct biological warfare in Korea. There is no way China will risk their national security to share such data with the West.

For those imbeciles in Taiwan who are willing to fight a proxy war for the US:

This is what happens when someone who has dementia tries to do gaslighting.
Meanwhile, this is in China:

I can't care less how you label a German party.

That's right. India will eventually stall because of too many internal contradictions. India can have billionaires staying in penthouses, running large parts of the industry, but also millions of poor, living in slums with no running water and electricity. India can have a space program, yet have hundreds of millions bathing in the River Ganga to clean their souls.

India just did not industrialize properly. It wants to go from an agricultural economy to a high-tech manufacturing, service-oriented economy in only a single generation. No stage-by-stage industrialization like in East Asia. Just go straight to the glamourous stuff. This shortcut method of industrialization is notorious for ending up in middle-income traps. Like in Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and various South American nations.

Developing a high-end industry on its own will only benefit the highly-educated and the privileged minority, ergo the elites. The elites will want to keep their privilege to lord over the poor masses, so they won't share the prosperity. Then the economy will only revolve around these elites. There will be no bottom-up surging up of the economy of the masses, but a top-down trickle-down economics. Hence stagnation, and the middle income trap.
