My point is there is not much desire to help with Turkish economic transformation without a net benefit for the international rule of order.
why you think so?. Turkiye technical population either work in west or investments that serve west. this where the exports going. Even the Autos inside Turkiye are majority connected to Europe. I think this Erdogan personality is very skilled in deflecting attention.

He is a great stateman, whatever your opinion about him let's acknowledge that he place his country interest first and foremost.

i have observed enough Arabic media over long period of time that this person is not a statesman. either stupid or manipulator.
Turkish finance and central bank officials are touring Arab countries for deposits. When need of central bank deposit arrives it means there is nothing attractive left in privatization or investments.

I'm sorry to say this bro, it's up to Turkish people to determine if he ever deserved that status BUT after winning the recent election I think they do. ;)

If NATO extends its dirty paw to Asia, which dog is getting the beating first? My bet is on South Korea, China doesn't even have to get its hand dirty. The smiles in the photo seems like they got a foot up their ass already.

Ukraine. Why fight on your own doorstep when the guy coming to try to make trouble in your neighbourhood already has a raging trashfire on his own doorstep?

Alternatively or additionally, it can flood Serbia with asymmetrical arms and long range strike weapons. If NATO wants to threaten a Kosovo War 2.0 as a means to pressure and punish Serbia, let’s see how they like it when the Serbs can actually hit them back in their own garden, and hit them back hard.

Although I suspect this is another American ploy to try and force Europe into its camp by using its shell agencies in Europe to provoke China so when China retaliates, their Eurotrash politicians can paint that as China firing the first shot.

The thing is, while Europe was once the Kingmarker in deciding who can win a Cold War between China and America, as Europe bleeds itself dry economically and de-industrialise itself to support America Ukraine fight Russia, it’s leverage and power are also declining exponentially, and is fast approaching appoint when it becomes an irrelevance. Not to mention the damage it is doing to its own credibility as a sovereign independent power.

Simply put, it Europe keeps acting like America’s bitch, soon China will give up on it and treat it as such. Especially since Europe is racing to downgrade itself from a powerful Doberman that demanded respect to an annoying Chihuahua that is begging to be taught some discipline.

Agreed.

The recently announced export licensing required for Gallium is more directed at the Europeans.

Having announced it, we have to expect the PRC will bring down the hammer, and ban some of it at least.

Subsequent bans on rare earths from the PRC will target both the Americans and Europeans. However, not everyone will be treated the same.

The Western approach to governance is just too feminine to appeal to a man like myself.

They like to talk about feelings and wants rather than deal with needs and reality. The West thinks of themselves as too high minded to get their hands dirty and are too busy gossiping with friends, scolding others and championing the newest and most popular trends without any foresight or execution.
