I don't think capability comparison was what he was getting at.

And I think comparing Flight III Burke with 055 whose sensor fit we do not yet accurately know of is rather dubious.

This reminds me of the Kirov class battlecruiser, which has a similarly 'integrated' funnel.

At 8.8:1 length:beam ratio it's not particularly beamy. A (modern) beamy ship would be the Arleigh Burke at 7.75:1 (for the IIA).

Credible news update
The installation work of #1's bridge has finished.
Amount of its “eyes"(Windows on the bridge may be?) seems to be 4+7+4,with the "4+5+4" on 052D to compare.
Probably could be launched(The describe word in original source is 'swim') in May or June.

Original source is admin of naval section of haohanfw.com BBS which is barred to new members until they reach a certain rank.

In addition to J16's post, the admin also mentioned the "ears" of the 055's superstructure does indeed exist on the real thing. I'm assuming he's talking about the platforms on either side of the bridge.

If the window scheme is 4-7-4, then it's changed from the mock-up which has 3-5-3.
