There are several interesting design consideration in the layout of type001 vs nimitz.

With superficial analysis the t001 hangar deck looks like 33% smaller than the nimitz, but there are few problem that restrict the the usability of it.

First of all ,there is less elevator, and each of them smaller than the ones on the nimitz.

Nimitz :
-4 elevator, 2 airplane each -> eight aircraft can be moved same time.
-For every 50 meters hangar deck there is one lift.
-each lift is at the middle of the hangar, NOT one the corner

Type001/Kuz:
-two elevator , one plane each -> two plane can be moved at the same time, quarter of the amount of Nimitz !!
-one elevator for 75 meter, and one is at the corner, means there is a "dead stock" zone in the middle, and on the end of the hangar ( hard to access plane storage)

Due to above the type001 can use only fraction of the hangar capacity.

And I haven't found any video about the kuz/001 lift, but the (latest ) nimitz fast, 30 sec up or down.

professional hangar spotting (paying attention to the fire walls, boats, accessibility of the repaired aircraft):

Use of hangar space at sea (Note the ammunition lifts, one with open roof, and the material transfer station in the elevator opening):

Most aircraft are brought to the flight deck while replenishment at sea is in progress. And than there are no flight ops, all aircraft are on board.

What about a special "hangar use thread"?

Interesting.

I found a video about the Liaoning elevator , and it is quite slow:

The Nimitz class elevator :

Shocking , but it is like 20 sec vs 120 seconds.

Of course there is offload/load time as well, but even with that the Nimitz has magnitude higher hangar deck output than the type 001.

With the elevator video it is possible to calculate the throughput of type 001 vs nimitz.

Type 001: 5 minutes ride up/down, one minute to tow on/off the aircraft gives 3 minutes/ aircraft. To move in/out from the hangar 40 plane takes 2 hours : o
If one elevator break down then the time will be 4 hours.

Nimitz: 1 minute to move up/down, 1 minute to town on/off. Gives 10 minutes to move 40 plane. if one elevator broken then the time 13 minutes.

Landing takes one minute say, so in one hour 60 plane can land(max).

Means on the type 001 it is not possible to move down to the hangar the landed jets, the elevators hasn't got the capacity for that.

I don't know where you get your number I clock the first video one way 1min so 2 way up and down it is 2 minutes.
the second vdeo is 30 sec up and down 1 minute So it is not bad a comparison because the well is deeper in Liaoning. Liaoning is training carrier thaey said so and on function is to train and qualified pilot for carrier operation Wait until CV 17 before making comment
Maybe they have 2 speed motor control who knows with one for utility and the other for real operation Unless you show both lift with a plane the comparison is meaningless

On the first video the movement start at 00:06, and don't finish at the end of the video (at 2:19 )

The actual cycle start earlier, because there are bolts that secure the lift at up position in both design, and from the lift it is not visible as they release them ( 6 second should be the minimum for the movement of them).
And it is not visible as the safety rails retract into the deck.

I haven't found up movement for the 001, but that should be the same speed as the down, maybe bit slower.

T001 : movement up and down : 2.5+2.5 minuntes
roll on / off: 0.5 + 0.5 minute
Equal 6 minute.

So, in 6 minutes two lift can move one plane each.

So, 6 minutes divided by the number of lifts multiplied with the number of planes per lift .( 6/(2*1)=3)

The same calculation is 2 minutes ( 30 sec for lift up/down and tow on/off) divided by four lift, and two plane for each lift. It gives 15 seconds / plane. (2/(4*2)=0.25)

40 plane multiplier by 3 minutes = two hours, 15 seconds multiplied by 40 planes gives 10 minutes.
