Zhuhai Air Show 2018

Even if it's probably a bit too early - there are still 3 months left - let's start a new thread ... for the moment limited to rumours and later for reports, news and images.



Until the show is over I make it "sticky" but later it will be downgraded to a regular thread.

So are there any news? What can we expect??

Only thing I know is that the J-20 will be performing again!

I guess we can only do idle chit chat here for now. I just hope we get much, much better images this year than we had last year. Last time was horrendous in terms of useful images. Very few tables with specifications photographed, people just mostly snapped away at various systems without providing additional info...

Yes, it would be nice if possibly we had a real flying display, such as the F-35 at Farnborough, though that's probably too much to hope for?? I would hope for something on the order of the J-31 flight demonstration, instead of the higher altitude "fly bye".

Do you suppose we might see the FC-31 put on a flying display such as the J-31 did several years ago??

Seeing the Y-20 would also be very interesting.

While its nice to see all the pretty airplanes and weapons, its a lot more fun to witness those aerial displays.

Don't get me wrong, I love all the kool new stuff

Im hoping for an upgraded J31... Perhaps more suited for carrier ops. Or a V3 J31.

J20 is still too secretive to allow much time in zhuhai, whereas J31 not so much.

Anybody on SDF will be there? Personally, I would expect to see J-20, J-31 JF-17 and L-15. Maybe J-10B/C won't participate the show.
