Yuan Class AIP & Kilo Submarine Thread

Life is only going to get tougher the more blue waters the PLAN becomes, with longer and longer deployments. Though the SSK is cramped and I think he is based on a Kilo, which is known for being cramped, it doesn't go as far as nuclear submarines go. The RN has manning problems with their submarines, and that particular service of the RN isn't popular. The social media-smartphone addicted generation doesn't make it any easier finding the manpower.

Adding a note...

Something is now out there because its no longer seen. Previous satellite pictures of Jiangnan shipyard, where people's main focus is to point out how many 055s and 052Ds are under construction or fitting, used to also have a Yuan class docked and in fitting. JN appears to have taken the tasks of building Yuans in addition to Wuhu, the first time the CSSC concern has taken on building submarines which used to be the traditional domain of CSIC.

Later pictures of JN, though mostly focused on the state of construction of the 055s, no longer seem to show the new Yuan there. I suspect this sub to be operational and has joined the fleet.

This is what I was saying.

There is no sub there on November 2016 on the upper right hand corner.

Then last year, there is a submarine between the two 052Ds on the upper right.

Most recent pic, the submarine is gone. Just another ship is there between the 052D and the 055, which has taken the spot of the 052D, which I presumed has been moved to the other side.
