Yu-7 is also fairly new. Right about the same time as the Yu-6 or after.

The Yu-7 is based off the old Mk46 Mod 1, which is long out of production in the West. The USN and NATO have moved onto the the Mk46 Mod 5, while the USN had also adopted the Mk50 and the Mk54. European Navies are slowly making the MU90 a standard as well.

considering that China got Mk 46 mod 2 in the early 90s, I'd say that's the minimum standard for Yu-7. Look, in reality with all of their updates, Yu-7 is probably at the level of Mk46 mod 5.

"Based" does not mean anything. At best, it would be an analog and can never be taken literally. Far more important are the specifications and new requirements that would been conceived and then later added to the design. Since the introduction of the torpedo is fairly late, we can assume it would have all the updates and the latest requirements in mind.
