I feel bad for what happen to him and his staff personally, but this is really nothing surprising, how naive are people to think just because someone hate their own government, it somehow means they will like US. However it is surprising just how quick the blow-back is, the Taliban took 3 decades to strike back, the Libyans only took 1 year.

Chances are, after Syria and Iran falls, the same type of people will take control as well. Bad for US, bad for Europe and bad for China.

What will happen if this happens in a street in China?

TOKYO, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Japan's newly appointed Ambassador to China Shinichi Nishimiya fell unconscious on a street in Tokyo Thursday morning, police said, adding that the sudden faint was caused by illness.

Nishimiya's appointment had just been approved by the government on Tuesday to replace current Japanese Ambassador to China Uichiro Niwa, at a time when the two countries are embroiled in a dispute over a group of islands in the East China Sea, local media reported.

A passerby saw the 60-year-old Nishimiya suddenly faint on a street in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward. Nishimiya was soon taken to hospital, said police.

As deputy foreign minister in charge of economic affairs, Nishimiya had until recently been making arrangements with other countries in relation to the just-concluded summit of the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation forum in Vladivostok, Russia, said local media.

A newly appointed ambassador usually begins work in the designated country within 40 days of the appointment after being briefed by his or her predecessor in Japan, according to the Japanese foreign ministry.

This is the trailer for the movie that is said to have been the reason why US embassies have been attacked and killed the US ambassador and three others in Libya.

Anyone that has worked in the film business would know, what's frightening is this is very low production value at the level of beginners. And this causes an international incident? It would've gotten zero attention publicly if it didn't have the religious insults. This can get out of control beyond what governments can do. Simply anyone with an HD camera including iPhones can make a movie at this level. On one side you have people who believe in free speech and on the other extremists capable of violence for religion. Do you see either side surrendering? I expect more "movies" to be made soon with the same intentions.

US intelligence is now suggesting that the film is used as a coverup or excuse by Al-Quada as a way of rallying support and attacking the west. This actually sounds pretty probable.

Chinese ships breach Japan’s naval border

Four Chinese ships have entered Japanese waters near a group of disputed islets claimed by both Beijing and Tokyo, refusing to follow the Japanese coast guard's orders to vacate its territorial waters.
Currently, four Chinese ships are stationed in the area, which Japan considers its territorial waters.Another four ships are stationed outside the disputed area.
So far, Japanese border patrol ships have not taken any active measures against the Chinese vessels.
Japan has created a crisis headquarters in response to the incident. The Chinese Ambassador to Japan has been urgently summoned to a meeting with the Japanese Foreign Ministry.
This is the latest in a series of diplomatic rows between China and Japan centered on control of the Senkaku, or Diaoyu in Mandarin, islands.
The ships were dispatched “to assert the country’s sovereignty” to the tiny archipelago in the South China Sea, which on Tuesday Japan had purchased from a private owner, ignoring Chinese territorial claims.

I'll be more worried about false flag operations against US, any hostile nations can bribe some starving Americans film makers to make a low budget movie about Muhammad, and watch the inevitable result.

This thing is a terrible insult to humanity. Can't blame Muslims for being offended. No matter what people think of Islam, it's still a religion practised by billions, and therefore we should present our respect. Most likely those who cry Islam is violent is just as ignorant as those who use violence in the name of religion. The death of the US diplomat is also very unfortunate.
Seriously, those people should shut up and stop calling out on others. People like that pastor, producers are the reason why everyone else(and all other innocent Americans) have to suffer. These guys did an excellent job in turning the US into a nation representing arrogance.

I agree that the video is an insult, but in a civilized culture, we usually don't answer insults with violence.

Like jackliu said, anyone could make those videos. The alternative would be to enact legislations that forbid such videos, but then we quickly fall into the slippery slope of "blasphemy" laws.

Another funny thing is United State is helping to shut down access to youtube in Afghanistan, I mean after all the bitching and complaining about China's media censorship, they are doing the same thing.

So much for free speech, I guess it does not apply to you if you are on the receiving end.
