You either loved her or you hated her. As she herself once said
"if you aim only to be liked, you will make all kinds of compromise and get nothing done." she did a lot for her nation, and was big enough to take all the jokes and insults and still give even more. She was the kind of woman who could take a slap in the face and return it with a kick in the balls. That may sound not sound it but that was aimmed as a complement.

The way the people are celebrating his death reminds me of oppressed people in third world countries celebrating the fall of
their tyrants.

But the irony is that the Brits already dancing in the streets...

That is hardly the case. There are people in the UK who hated her guts, but most of them have enough class to not openly celebrate the death of someone no matter how despised.

Indeed, if her enemies attacked her so viciously even after 20 years she left the arena, then she's anything but irrelevant. Her enemies - even those who weren't born when she stepped down - immortalized her with such fanfare.

MANILA, Philippines - The Palawan provincial prosecutor ordered yesterday the transfer to the provincial jail of the 12 Chinese crewmembers of a fishing vessel that ran aground at Tubbataha Reef.

On Wednesday night, the provincial prosecutor’s office ordered the Judge Advocate General’s Office (JAGO) of the Western Command (Wescom) in Puerto Princesa City to take temporary custody of the 12 Chinese, who are facing charges of poaching and corruption of public officials, and to ensure that their needs are provided for.

“We have filed the poaching case as well as the corruption of public officials,” Angelique Songco of the Tubbataha Management Office (TMO) said, adding the prosecutors’ office would be forwarding the cases to the court.

Both cases are bailable and the poaching charge is punishable only with six months and one day to 12 years’ imprisonment.
Naval Forces West (Navforwest) commander Commodore Joseph Rustom Peña also confirmed the 12 Chinese have been ordered committed to the Palawan Provincial Jail.
