Sina said that it's the third time that the INS Vikrant was launched. Further, instead of being built in a sea dock, why do decide to built at such a narrow water way? The length of the ship is about the width of the river.

Russian four mast sailing ship (state fishing fleet training ship) collides with two Iclandic Coast Guard vessels in Reykjavík, Iceland, on June 11, 2015.

The Russian STV Kruzenshtern was built in Germany in 1926 and was later surrendered to the USSR in 1946 as reparation following WWII. The tall ship is currently used as a training vessel for the Baltic Fishing Fleet State Academy.

The vessel will remain in Iceland as part of the ongoing investigation

Hmmm.

I did not think the UK had any US Marine type LCAC craft.

I thought they only had four of their LCAC (L) which are actually Griffon 2000TD hovercraft and are much smaller than the US LCAC. (Those are being replaced by larger LCAC (LR) hovercraft...but which are still far smaller than US craft. The new Brit craft only carry something like 16 Marines).

Here's a picture of the LCAC (L):

...and here's a pic of the new LCAC (LR)

Out side of this, the Brits have ten LCUs and 20 LCVPs, and I believe that it for landing craft.

These pics of the 2nd Izumo class, DDH-183, getting ready to launch in Japan are nice. This will mean Japan will have four such carriers in operation soon. Two Hyugas and two Izumos.
