What Should China Do If The US Uses Tactical Nukes?

The us has vindicated China suspicion that their missile defence system is aimed at her (and russia)
Therefore China must (and already doing) increase their nuke warheads to at least 1000 to ensure mad
That's exactly right; just this week there was a successful (or so claimed) ICBM intercept test by the Pentagon; the USG has desired full spectrum nuclear dominance and missile defence primacy so as to prevent themselves from reaping what they intend to sow.

In the eg in that twitter post, it's not unfeasible to expect the US to do something as stupidly irresponsible as launch a mini-nuke at Fiery Cross reef (perhaps with the same damage as the MOAB) and then hunker down, daring the Chines to do something about it.
You saw this behaviour from Trump after launching tariffs against China then having the nerve to demand that China "not launch reciprocal tariffs against the US", like the old Polish saying, 'the US cries out in pain as he strikes you'.

Secondly, this admin. has demonstrated its white supremacist leanings so would not be particularly bothered by radioactive fallout afflicting the rest of east Asia since it would kneecap any notion of Asian superseding white nations.

Then they get nuked and things are going to escalate really really fast. Finally, everyone is going to nuke each other into oblivion. Simple as that.
Not that simple, US counting on China getting nuclear blackmailed

Look at the Huawei example, US tries to kill Huawei, what did China do to Apple? Nothing

They got away with Hiroshima and Nagasaki so in their mind, what worked once shall work again... This could be Trumps card to stay in power and neutralize Eurasia, BRI, RCEP, CPTPP

I would say they will be doing good job converting a hegemonic threat to a threat that will end it's existence.

If it really happens what has been mentioned above, i don't see any other option for China except completely de-populating US.
I agree with you, the only way to deter us belligerence is ensuring mad
Minimum nuke deterrence is no longer enough

Well, that's because they don't need to.

First i thought of same, why not go for tit for tat response?
Then it came to mine, why not use these elites against their own country?

But that's exactly because attacking Apple at this point in time would play into the Trump admin's strategy for a tech war with China and hopefully provide a reason to "re-shore" factories or at least get Apple's factories out of China so the Trump admin. can start bombing.

Similarly, the US would try to instigate a crisis in east asian so as to have an excuse to send carriers to the taiwan strait, and if in the event of a US defeat (highly likely), they would consider launching a mini nuke at fiery cross reef or in the event of a SCS or taiwan confrontation (much like what Pompeo tried to do with the provocative flights so close to civilian airliners), so as to poison the region, materially as well as politically.

1. Economics != military. If the Chinese don’t retaliate with nukes, there will be a violent revolution. Simple as that. 2. Ironically, the Huawei ban ended up hurting US companies more than it did to Huawei and to be honest the Chinese suck at economic and financial warfare. Military is a different story.

If USGov really wanted Apple out of China, Potus just needs to do an EO. As it stands, US is asymettrically decoupling, only cutting off ties that benefit China but allowing transactions that benefit itself, China/Huawei gets blocked out of the digital tech ecosystem but still allowing America to make profits off backs of Chinese talent and labor. Recall in 2018/19 Ren offered to sell Apple its Huawei 5G chips, now Apple gets full attention of TSMC, working 100% on iPhone 12 5G, whilst Huawei had to sell Honor and can only buy 4G chips from QualComm... this is without doubt the worst of both worlds for China...

Is their suppose to be some distinction from tactical and strategic nukes? A nuke is a nuke. Ask that to the US if China just used a tactical nuke, how would the US respond? Is this the good guy versus bad guy logic where they think good guys can use nukes but international law says bad guys can't?
