True. For shows only

perhaps the tubes fire rokets, like a version of the sherman.

Reminds me of BF 1942's Secret Weapons of World War 2.

If those things on the T-34 are guns, I have to think the effective range is a bit short due to its short barrels.

That's an immediate-postWW2/WW2 developement son no need for enormous range...in order to strafe AT planes had to go under the 100 m range

I can tell you one thing for sure it’s an anti aircraft system and those are not 14.5mm. There is no way that a T-34 turret can track any aircraft in a meaning full way. I don’t think it can elevate past 35 degrees, and even aiming at ground troops will be hard. I think that it is a 12 battled flame thrower system that was going to be used in a beach assault on Taiwan, to clean beach obstacles, land mines and bunkers. The barrels likely can be positioned at slightly different angles, and fuel can be pumped into then at different speeds to increase the spread of the weapons. The fuel will be stored in the hull. This t-34 tank is now parked in front of the Minsky.

Yo stup that "thing" isn't going to be used. It's simply a show off. And my hand to cut that thing has at least four decades on its' rusty back. Fuel?

Attached on a 50mm armored turret? I mean you can't be serious can you? The first RPG/panzerfauste/AT4 on that turret and you'll have PLA BBQ.

Aww... too bad... I thought those characters were supposed to give a hint at the tank's role

Judging by the appearance of these things, they don't appear to be intended to be accurate. Short barrel, placed in box of fours in a crude fashion, no targetting mechanism.

So they can't be AA guns. AA guns need to be accurate

I don't think they're flame throwers either. If you want a flame thrower with huge coverage you just need a single barrel and swing it around. Besides, 8 flame thrower barrels would seriously overheat the boxes

They could be... small machine guns to provide cover fire against infantry

My guess though is that it's an experimental design for shooting down incoming missiles and rockets, but was unsuccessful so it ended up becoming a display piece.

It's hard to aim a gun at a missile even if you're gun is accurate, so the solution would be to have many guns put together to give high volume of fire and high total fire rate (fire rate of all guns combined) and shoot them all in the general direction of the missile, one of them's gotta hit. Because it relies on volume, fire rate, and chance, a good targetting device is not important.

And because a missile only spends short time reaching your tank, you don't need to fire at it for extended periods of time, so less ammo is required. The ammo are probably kept within the box

I think the biggest problem would be that the guns are fixed to the turret so it turns too slowly in response to missiles. It could make sense if your turret is already pointed at some target, then that target suddenly shoots a rocket at you so you immediately light up your anti-missile guns and try to shoot it down.

IMHO it may be a technology/concept demonstrator for a turret mounted multiple AGL for tanks, to be used to provide suppressive fire against entrenched or concealed infantry.

Yeap, I'd agree those are rocket launchers.
I don't know about the Shermans, but I did saw on a book a Pershing tank w/ rocket launchers for extended range of action.
