An F-15E Strike Eagle pilot and weapon system operator from the 336th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, prepare to take off June 9 for a close-air-support mission. In May, aircrews from the 336th EFS and the 74th EFS, who fly A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, together logged a total of more than 5,000 combat flight hours over Afghanistan.
