Funny thing, I am Australia born chinese, my family is from Hong Kong. I have serve in dat Aust. army reserve during the end of my high school and early uni years. I gotta said I am loyal to both country China and Australia. But if I have to choose one I gotta said China. Well many friend I know.. ABC (Australia born chinese) or not, who are in australia still widely loyal to China. I ask them the question, 8/10 answer china. I gotta said I perfer to live in Hong Kong or China more then Australia nowadays and there isn't anything I can do in Australia dat I couldn't do there. True speaking to frist to some genations China that might tell u other wise, but I never know..

But there is a clear line between appreciating one's heritage and betraying one's country.
Yes, this is true but I still think someone out there would do it, or I dun dun think the govt. really need to make a big fuzzy about it. Anyways it be widely said the China cruise missile TERCOM teachnogly was stolen from the use Tomahawk any of ya thing this is true?

Sorry for being off topic.

The Chinese had acess to unexploded Tomahawks following US strikes on Al-Queda bases in Afghanistsan following the bombing of the US embassy in Sudan.

I just want to make one point on this before we switch back to the military news (I suspect that may never happen, lol, maybe I should just give up?).................
............................

Therefore, I think that's where the misunderstandings come in. The Chinese who are not in America think that Chinese Americans would still be loyal to China above America. Whereas Americans would wonder why oversea Chinese are still loyal to the native land. Just my 2 cents.

A very reasoned viewpoint. I'll accept that. And in retrospect, your probably right. I'm just not going to accept that all of my fellow Americans of Chinese descent are despicable traitors as some here suggest. That's rather belittling of Chinese-Americans in my view. I just showed this post to my current co-worker. He just said he couldn't imagine being loyal to a country (China) that he has never even been to. He also said the USA is his home and has an actual vested interest in it's survival. Whoever alluded that all Chinese-Americans are traitors.........is he lying???

As you can imagine, this kind of stuff would definitely not be tolerated in America

I disagree with you here. You are totally free to hate the USA in the USA if you wish. If you want to walk down any street in the USA tomorrow waving the Iranian Flag, chanting "down with the USA" and " George Bush is a criminal"...you're free to do so. Nobody will arrest you. But you're not free from public scrutiny as a result. The American people by and large are a proud lot. So you could expect looks of disgust and people shouting nasty stuff at you. I've been to both Australia and Canada, and neither country has the kind of sentiments toward their respective countries like America. In America, alot is tolerated and protected. Just don't expect people to like you for your intellectual dishonesty if you're one of these people.

Possible. But I have my doubts. When any of China's missiles can demonstrate comparable across the board performance of a Tomahawk, I'll listen. Until then, it's a rumour that is unsubstantiated by any facts. I realize they may have pieces of a missile, but having pieces don't mean you can duplicate. Are you again dreaming of a false scenario where an evil "Chinese-American" agent is covertly supplying PLA with missile tech. (Sarcasm off)

P.S. We really need that "eye-rolling" emoticon here.

"Pentagon Seeks to Fund New Force Of Conventional-Warhead Missiles"

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

Another article pointing to this development. This looks like it will only be a high-speed contingency weapon, if developed at all. There are some people in the Pentagon opposed.

The initiative would convert 24 Trident missiles armed with nuclear warheads into rockets carrying conventional warheads and begin fielding them by 2008. The missiles would be launched from submarines and could hit targets 5,000 to 6,000 miles away within 10 yards, the official said.

also,

With estimated flight times of 12 to 24 minutes, the conventionally armed missiles could be used quickly against a remote and fleeting "terrorist stronghold" or against a nation threatening a neighbor with a missile attack --

"Lockheed Martin Delivers F 22 Raptor To Second Operational Squadron"

Please, Log in or Register to view URLs content!

USAF F-22 squadrons are beginning to get larger and flex more muscle.

The two Raptors will join F-22s flying today as part of the 1st Fighter Wing’s 27th Fighter Squadron at Langley Air Force Base, Va. Lockheed Martin has completed final assembly on 71 of the 107 fighters now on contract, and 63 have been delivered.

and this,

"We are proud to build such a sophisticated, 5TH Generation stealth fighter that can do things better than we ever imagined," Lawson said.

plus this,

The F-22 dominates any adversary through unmatched performance achieved through stealth, supercruise speed, agility, precision and a complete view of the battlespace achieved with the advanced sensor suite embedded in the aircraft. The Raptor will enable combat commanders to change the way wars are fought over the next 40 years.

In addition to the active air force, pilots with the 192nd Virginia Air National Guard in Richmond are also flying F-22 Raptors. The F-22 Raptor is currently flying at three other bases across the United States: • Testing is conducted at Edwards AFB, Calif. • Tactics development is ongoing at Nellis AFB, Nev. • A full squadron of Raptors is based at Tyndall AFB, Fla., for pilot and maintainer training.

DOVER, Del. - A huge military cargo plane crashed shortly after takeoff at Dover Air Force Base on Monday, breaking apart in a belly flop that drenched some of the 17 people aboard with fuel but caused no fire or life-threatening injuries.

"It's a miracle. It's absolutely a miracle," said Lt. Col. Mark Ruse, commander of Dover's 436th Air Wing Civil Engineering squadron.

Military officials said the C-5 Galaxy, the military's largest plane at more than six stories high and 247 feet long, developed problems soon after taking off for Spain about 6:30 a.m.

It crashed just short of the runway while attempting to return to the base and broke in two behind the cockpit. The tail assembly landed several hundred yards away, and an engine was thrown forward by the impact.

"It looks like it kind of slid along the ground almost like a water landing of sorts," Ruse said.

Fourteen of the injured, taken to a Dover hospital, were covered with jet fuel and had to be decontaminated in the parking lot, but officials said none of their injuries was considered life threatening.

Three others were taken to Christiana Care in Newark, said hospital spokeswoman Sharon Justice. The hospital would not release further information, but the military said none of the crash survivors' lives was in danger.

The C-5 was being flown by a reserve crew from the 512th Airlift Wing, said Capt. John Sheets of the Air Mobility Command at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.

All flights from the base were suspended as emergency crews, some in hazardous materials suits, combed through the wreckage in a light rain under overcast skies. Some sprayed foam on the left wing, which had lost its engine, while others removed the remaining fuel from the plane.

Lisa Barrentine, who lives near the crash site and often hears military planes flying over her property, said she knew something was wrong when she heard the C-5 overhead around 6:30 a.m.

"It wasn't quite the rumble you normally hear, it was larger, and you could hear the windows shaking," she said.

Tech Sgt. Melissa Phillips, a base spokeswoman, said a board of officers investigate the cause of the crash.

Dover is home to the largest and busiest air freight terminal in the Defense Department, including the mortuary that processes bodies from the nation's wars.

The C-5 Galaxy cargo plane, made by Lockheed Martin Corp., is one of the largest aircraft in the world, according to the Air Force. Even with a payload of 263,200 pounds, it can fly non-stop for 2,500 miles at jet speeds.

Anyways it be widely said the China cruise missile TERCOM teachnogly was stolen from the use Tomahawk any of ya thing this is true?
The above statement is inaccurate. TERCON technology is software intensive, and is embedded in chips coded in classified programming languages.

Thus, it is unlikely that China got access to TERCON technology when it salvaged unexploded Tomahawks from Pakistan.
Thus, the Babar also does not have TERCON guidance as incorrectly claimed by their media.
