Weaponization of space has long been kicked off since the 1980s
It seems to me that the US has been recycling lots of old tricks recently hoping to get somewhere even though they failed when they were much stronger.
If Trump stopped wasting money on this kind of nonsense then maybe there is actual budget for actual defense acquisition.

@5unrise you also do a lot of content on planes and missiles. So, it would have been better to name the channel military power report or something like that, making it more general. But anyways, best of luck for the new channel. I hope this new strategy will bring you more audiance. I also suggest that you do some interviews with podcast like vibe. That will boost your viewership much further.

It is. The thing which makes it slightly more viable this time is the much cheaper space launch costs. Thanks to reusable launch vehicles.
Problem is I've heard about half the cost was on the orbital vehicle anyway. All sorts of space lasers and shenanigans can;t be cheap to begin with.
You can pretty much forget about space lasers. The Edward Teller proposal was X-ray lasers powered by nuclear explosions. Not going to work. This is probably just Brilliant Pebbles aka Smart Rocks.
