I kind of wonder if this is more then just a render? Northrop even updated the design somewhat between the 2021 video and the 2023 video.

The US Marine Corps Command will adopt a strategy for its operations under the name “Force Design 2030” Classified and reconnaissance forces capabilities to destroy near and far targets
Rapidly deployed forces supported by accurate fire and encrypted and protected networks that can perform with an almost non-existent footprint that cannot be noticed and requires less ,logistical support
The plan focuses on significantly reducing the variety of infantry, artillery, tanks, and all heavy systems, and focusing on adding drones, reconnaissance vehicles, and accurate long-range fire to support the various forces.

If they go for dorsal inlets they pretty much give up high AOA ability.

To be clear, I don't think it is NGAD, but I do wonder if it is/was an actual prototype they did produce/heavily mock up at some point. If I am not mistaken, that is the only "fictional" aircraft in the video. Seems odd to add it in for no reason, and I think it could be a little more than just a wink at the future.

Anyway, I just like to speculate.
