Are you able to point to something official that the AOA is done? AFAIK the AOA is in the twilight zone.

The 2030+ AD working groups methodically assessed candidate concepts using USAF directives and guidance. Resulting concepts informed the NGAD Analysis of Alternatives (AoA), which is in the final stages of coordination.

They're normally reporting behind where they really are for security reasons. Everyone does that, not just the USAF.

You don't need $1B for an AOA.

It should be obvious, but the AOA won't be made public.

I am asking you, bluntly, if you would have called the J-20 program - prior to it being publicly unveiled - 'not a real aircraft?'

my point has been the USN avoids the F-35 Marvel as much as it can, under the circumstances given by the most hyped military program ever

And how is the US Navy's Next Generation Fighter about the F-35?

NGF != F-35. Neither is the NGAD.
