If they have a VSTOL aircraft then instantly there are 3 more aircraft carriers like UK claimed. Has China abandoned VSTOL or is that still on the cards?
Latest rumor here is future Type-76 with EMALS for launching drones and *maybe* manned aircraft

It's said that they haven't totally abandon the initiative but certainly not at the highest order of things for them at this time.
Likely sitting behind their CATOBAR 5th gen stealth fighter.
After all, for its industrial manufacturing capabilities, China can't churn out modern jet engines in "enough quantities" at this time.
