Since entire taiwan is within China WS long range rockets, even if taiwan buy bunch of Pac3 it wont able to defend long term.
Missiles intercepting rockets wont work very long.

You getting away from main point of this thread which is damaging and irreconcilable part for US and China future relationship.

Focus on the big picture or trend rather than small operation technicality

There is no future relationship unless there is a regime change in China or the USA collapses. It's gonna be a looong waiting game. Just in case the USA attacks. I doubt the Chinese will just bomb taiwan and retreat inland leaving the majority of the population by the coast.

If Tiawan declare independence this year or in next few years, China should sever all economic ties with it rather than military option which gives US exactly the outcome its hoping for. Sure it will hurt China, but it will collapse Tiawan, and US wont be able to prop them up economically

As for what China should do if US strike the SCS? It should have an upper bound in where its willing to escalate but at the same time it sends the clearest signal to China, that US is intent on going to war with all of China, to completely obliterate China, sometime in the future at its own timing. Pompous calling for CCP regime change is one thing but actually striking SCS takes it to whole new level, it indicates US willing to go all the way to destroy China

China needs to build up to 100 DF-41 and overall as many nukes as it can as quickly as possible. This is nonnegotiable. I think China is already doing this. China must have enough nukes to wipe out all of USA in retailation if its hit with sudden first strike in mainland by US.

Being able to make chips themselves is 10 times more important than Huawei winning 5G contacts.

Russia cannot be counted upon, when push comes to shove, White people side with themselves. Russia is also playing India against China.

Securing HK, Tibet, XinJiang, etc way more important than appeasing the US/5eyes to avoid PR rhetoric or UK not banning Huawei

Im actually glad Trump closed Houston consulate, Chengdu was the right move, fuck CIA

There is no way they will give up Taiwan or SCS. Bombing TSMC plants would mean no iPhone 12, that would be a shocker for many.

It's really sad to see Taiwan media now talking high and fly how US is now willing to sell them all the "sophisticated" weaponaries to fight China, it's dangerous to think that US is now "willing to fight" alongside Taiwan and suddenly Taiwanese feel they have shot at winning.

I can say it with confident Trump do not give a damn about his people and he will drop Taiwan in an instant if China could give him what he wanted, Taiwan is piece of chess in US grand game. Look at the civil war in Syria, Syrian people were treated like a football in a football match between US and Russia , 500,000 thousands lives sacrificed , end of the day Assad still in power with support of Russia, US is almost nowhere to be seen. It's a game that it's little to gain for Taiwan so much to lose. Taiwan must be smart, stay at status quo.

win a second term in office as it would allow Beijing to continue to pursue its international ambitions, said an analyst on Monday.

“Bluntly, Beijing would prefer to see the Trump administration continue,” said Rodger Baker, senior vice president of strategic analysis at Stratfor, a consultancy.

“The reason is that at least, thus far, the way the Trump administration has acted and the perception internationally of that administration — and what you see going on domestically inside the United States and the polarization inside the United States — gives Beijing an advantage,” said Baker.

He added that what Beijing would really fear is a concerted U.S. policy and a coordinated international policy that constrains China.

U.S.-China relations have become increasingly strained in recent years as the two sides spar on a range of issues, culminating in the

at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, saying the U.S. will no longer tolerate Beijing’s playbook to usurp global order and calling on allies to “induce China to change.”

Pompeo also called for the engagement and empowerment of the Chinese people, whom he described as “dynamic and freedom-loving people who are completely distinct from the Chinese Communist Party.”....... to read further, click on the link above
