Watch their brains would explode if someone posts an article saying Trump is accelerating China's EV and renewable dominance by skyrocketing the price of oil/gas and accelerating the green energy revolution.
Some people would say the bombing of the bridge is a face saving strategy to justify pulling back. But it will do the opposite. Iran is doing every thing it can to not let Americans save face, the humiliation is part of the war demand. Because if they can walk away with face saved, they can always come back attack again. If Americans are left humiliated, there would be greater political cost should they start attacking again. So from a political stand point, there is no saving Trump from humiliation.

Trump not caring about opening up the Strait of Hormuz and telling others it’s up to them not the US is his manipulation to get Europe and others involved because by default they would have to engage their militaries to attack Iran to keep the Strait open thus they would have to help like he really wants.
All Europe has to do is end their alliance with US and the Gulf states kick out the US from their countries and then they wouldn’t have to worry about it. Trump was already taunting exiting NATO and the Gulf states would have to consider what Trump’s war has costs them. Really if you look that the Gulf states after they bought all those Western weapons… the Iranians have exposed them as a deer-in-the-headlights. Maybe it’s the stereotype that they’re rich so they don’t have a real army of their own. I read something where it said the Saudi Army is mostly foreigners because they’re the rich Arabs that pay others just like their manual workforce are from other mostly poor countries. But of course their fighter pilots flying their expensive Western fighters have Prince titles… Remember during the first Gulf War you heard that Kuwaitis fleeing their country being invaded by Iraq were partying in Europe bragging that their American slaves were fighting to free their country for them…
Then even before the war the politics within these Gulf states were weird. Remember when there was some problem they all had with Qatar. Then more recently Saudi Arabia and the UAE had some dispute. Then every time you saw footage of their own citizens recording Iranian attacks on their own country, you saw them cheering for the attack.
You can see why these Gulf Sunni Arab states hate Iran. Revolution seems can tip over against them. The governments seem to favor the US and Israel while the citizens do not. The whole Middle East conflict was said to be all about Palestine. Now that seems to more be an annoyance to those leaders.
