Trump 2.0 official thread

AssassinsMace

Lieutenant General
I wonder if US soldiers are thinking about being Trump's army and not the US's army. If they get killed in action, there is nothing for the US to complain about. Nothing that says they're a victim of terrorism. The definition of the word has morphed into US police and soldiers are the ultimate victims of terrorism which is quite the opposite of its original definition. That's why there's an opening for China to make huge amounts of money from getting into the conventional arms game supplanting the US being number one. The fact is the only way to make the US think twice about using its military against a country is by causing as many American casualties as possible. It's like the white elephant in room of having a nuke protects you from the US attacking you. When American lives are wasted, that's when American public opinion sours. Look at Trump stealing Venezuelan oil. He's put that money made from it in a bank in Qatar that he can only touch. He's certainly not going to use that money for Americans especially if they suffer for Trump's enrichment.

Canada’s best bet is to shelf the fighter altogether and go asymmetric.
Before 2014, I said Canada's best alternative other than F-35 would be actually Su-30 variants (disregarding the logistics and new systems) Russia and Canada geography is very alike, cold and empty.

Now, F-35 is really the only alternative, there is absolutely no point in getting gripens. But our government will dilly dally till CF-188 starts falling from the sky.
