I don't even understand what Trump's gain plan is to be honest. Lol

Actually, this is a very serious matter. Given the context of world events at large.

President Trump had a plan, where the assumption was China was going to be the very first to call after the Liberation Day tariffs. Just like Iron Mike Tyson said, everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

At this point, the plan for Trump, is try to solve any problem, anything.

This China US trade negotiations, this is the biggest win he has, and it is not even a win. That is how sideways things have gone for him.

Trump peace overtures are gaining no traction in the protracted wars. No ally has engaged in trade negotiations. The irony is that China is, that cannot be lost on people, and really just too funny!

They tried to kill his friend Putin. They tried to kill him! Twice!

So if Trump can get anything positive done, then he has to do it.

Next, he has to kiss and make up with Elon Musk.

:p

Just found this gem.

The only ‘Made in America’ smartphone maker has a message for Apple about manufacturing in the Trump tariff era

A startup CEO teaching Apple about production in the US, claiming that production cost is around the same if not only slightly higher.

For context this company, Purism, that only assembles in the US and has since its first smartphone product in 2018, had sales numbers in the tens of thousands total.

Of course, production cost would be about the same if you are producing in such small numbers and considering this company has never been able to scale says it all.

I read the article and noticed this part:
Weaver said the U.S. is at a huge disadvantage to China when it comes to skilled workers, who make up a significant part of the workforce in smartphone factories. The only way to reverse the shortage and lay the groundwork for companies to reshore their production is to encourage more people to learn skills that are useful in the manufacturing process, he said.

“If you go over to China you can find buildings and buildings of thousands of electronics engineers. If you look here, you can find maybe five total,” Weaver said.
basically echoing what Tim Cook has said in the past about the quantity of Chinese talent vs. US talent. There isn't a possibility of reshoring manufacturing until the US solves their talent deficit issue.

Just after the Xi Trump call?

US suspends licenses to ship nuclear plant parts to China, sources say

Nuclear equipment suppliers include Emerson, Westinghouse
Suspensions come amid two-week blitz of restrictions on exports to China
Shipments of hydraulic fluid, jet engines among broad swathe of items affected
Restrictions imposed during tense U.S.-China trade war

(Is this like a US strategy, like even during Biden era? Like they had some "positive" event like meting or calls, then after they do actions like sanctions or restrictions etc? Will these hav effect on June9 meeting?)

But within one day of this feud going public, liberals are already removing their anti-Tesla stickers?
You have said this twice. Where are you getting it from? It's easy to ruin a good reputation but the climb back up is monsterous. Elon's reputation with the left is not that he's back to being progessive and anti-Trump; it's that he's just fucking crazy now.
That’s one guy selling anti-tesla stickers on eBay and Etsy. One guy sold 70k stickers.

But let’s step back for a min. Days ago Elon was partying at Maralago and riding high with Trump on Air Force 1.

He leaves DOGE, says he’s going to focus on running Tesla. Within days starts a feud with Trump on Twitter for the world to see. How convenient.

Then ask yourself, would Elon really jeopardize his empire by feuding with Trump. His entire business depends on federal contracts and regulations.

Or is this a PR Stunt cause sales down double digit. And then you also have roll out of Robotaxi next week.
I can imagine Elon being smart enough to pull a stunt but Trump? No way. There's always shockingly less than what meets the eye with him.
And they invited Trump to China. Such gracious hosts.
And Trump's been posting ass-kissing comments about Xi, asking Xi to talk and inviting Xi to his cesspool golf club in Florida again. Such a gracious beggar.

By the way, the head of state of any country can successfully call Xi or get a meeting in Beijing just by requesting it for any diplomatic reason between the countries. It's literally Xi's job to talk to these people. Months of beggar work is a Trump-only requirement.

Nope. Xi doesn’t have to talk to Trump.

I slap you not once but multiple times, then says let’s talk. You say sure. Lol.

And after we talk, I slap you again.

That’s what’s happening.

I think you're confused about who got slapped. Chinese GDP +5.4%. US GDP -0.3%. Trump slapped himself with the tariffs, then Xi slapped him with his tariffs, then Trump says he likes Xi very much, always have and always will. Dude got slapped so hard it activated his gay gene LOL Barf emoji required...

Then he called Xi and Xi told him to go back down to talk to his trade advisors where he will continue to get the US slapped due to an unsavable underperforming economy (compared to China's) with a double-sided slap-accelerated decline.

Edit: Oi! Where's that imaginary source that told you liberals are scrapping their anti-Tesla stickers?

If Trump really had the power, he would make Xi come to Washington, instead of him going over to China to grovel

6 months licences, amount is probably monitored or capped.
Dependent on how trump and his team gives concessions, the duration and amount can change.
After Zelenskyy, no leader dares to go there. Even Merz had his time wasted as the media was invited in the official talks that generally happens in private. Seems to be that more efforts are put on for a media show instead of in a meeting. This was the radical transparency I talked about yesterday. It's a reality tv show with no script.

Go back a few pages. It was posted by another member. I cited it with a question mark.
