Trump is pretty much the head chef who showed the diners how the meat loaf is actually made. The problem is that half of the diners think that once the old chef is back they can just pull up the curtains again and pretend that nothing bad is happening.
Back when Biden was POTUS, I was looking forward to a comd wsr 2.0, new space race etc. and thought that it would create another explosion of new technologies. All we got instead was a mentally challenged administration that doesn‘t let a day pass by without destroying the US.
This is why I wish that India catches up so we can finally see some real competition that pushes technology forward.

Rather than hoping for India to catch up, we should instead hope for a new America.
A nation that has once been a world hegemon will eventually be reborn in a new way, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. But before that, the United States must endure a period of unforgettable pain. Most former world hegemons have lost themselves in pain and vanished into the long river of history.
India, a country forcibly held together by Britain, has absolutely no chance of becoming a superpower. I am extremely pessimistic about India's future.

Or at least being reduced to a pitiful stump of their former selves like other colonial powers became, such as the british, so we can have a good laugh at their expense (and remember their unspeakable attrocities). I'd pick India over them any day.
