That is the problem with professional dedication to predictions: they cannot be manufactured like screws: what is confusing cannot be seen no matter how many hours of study you dedicate. And what is clear is imposed after a thousand or two thousand hours. In this puzzle I am missing pieces and although I have been demoted to junior I am old and I no longer have the mental agility I had when I was young.

The US got way more control over the northern border, but Mexico’s got them by the throat at the southern one and cucking them all over. That border’s way more porous on good days, and on top of it, the U.S. straight up depends on the Mexican government to help keep the chaos from spilling over completely. Mexico knows it too, they can push back as hard as they want because if they stop cooperating, the U.S. gets flooded with even more smuggling and illegal crossings. So there are more both administrative-logistical and political costs for tariffs there.

That usually makes sense once, but not 10 times, then you become a clown and no one takes you seriously anymore. If he had power, and America was truly a supapowa, he could've ordered the Mexican govt 24 hours to do everything he wanted in terms of cartels and goodbye.

President Donald Trump on Thursday said he's granting a one-month tariff pause to a greater range of Mexican goods, just a day after handing automakers an even more sweeping reprieve.

"After speaking with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico, I have agreed that Mexico will not be required to pay Tariffs on anything that falls under the USMCA Agreement," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "This Agreement is until April 2nd. I did this as an accommodation, and out of respect for, President Sheinbaum."

The USMCA, a trade deal negotiated between the US, Mexico, and Canada during Trump's first term as a replacement for the NAFTA trade pact, exempts most goods that are produced in the three signatory countries from most tariffs
