I don’t understand why China continues to have meetings with the US. They break agreement after a few weeks or months. Before every meeting they always put sanctions on Chinese companies or tariffs to create leverage in discussions. These meetings achieve nothing positive, in fact I would argue it actively harms China.

It's not cus we think their words mean anything, and it's not because we have things to tell them that mean anything. It's to put on a show, string 'em along for more time to keep tilting the power balance towards China. The day China tells the US that there's nothing to talk about anymore cus we're done with their lying shit is the day China issues them the challenge to abdicate and step down or it will be war in every dimension.
