PHILIPPINE SEA (Oct. 5, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Bobby Larose, from Stilwell, Oklahoma, assigned to the "Saberhawks" of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 77, repairs a wire of a chip detector in the tail rotor gear box of an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter on the flight deck of the Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). In october 4 new ships in the Navy ! very good, Murtha, Zumwalt the 15, Illinois/Virginia and
Detroit/Freedom all homeported to San Diego except Illinois possible to Pearl Harbor to see.

The U.S. Navy has commissioned the amphibious transport dock ship John P. Murtha (LPD 26) on Saturday, Oct. 8, during a ceremony at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia.

In more recently one AB Sampson (DDG 102) transfered from San Diego to Everett which have now 4, 2 in more this year and one other Kidd soon, San Diego have now 13 AB, receiving new Finn-113, Peralta-115 for 2017 and planned the 3 Zumwalt,.

U.S. Navy’s biggest destroyer to date, USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000), is ready to depart Naval Station Norfolk October 7 and complete a one-day transit to Baltimore, Md., where it will be commissioned into active service on October 15.

USS John Murtha, LPD-26, Commissions on October 8th, 2016.

USS Portland, LPD-27, the 11th San Antonio Class LPD was launched February 13, 2016. The 12th vessel and last San Antonio Class, the, USS Fort Lauderdale is under construction.

After that, the new LX(R) vessels, to replace the 12 LSD ships, will start construction using the same hull as the San Antonio Class.

As we know, the USS Zumwalt has been repaired of her minor engineering issue and will be commissioned in Baltimore next week on October 15th.
