BLACK SEA (Sept. 11, 2015) A Ukrainian KA-27 Helicopter lands aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75).
Now that is not something you see every day.

A Russian built Ka-27 cross decking to a US Navy Burke destroyer. Of course, since it is Ukrainian, you do see it every now and then...but it is still somehow strange to me, after all of these years.

As for now, before the Ukrainian Navy starts to upgrade most of their equipment to western style or NATO version in the coming decades. We probably will being Seahawks instead of the Ka-27 from the Ukraine in the near future.;)

May well be...or a Westland Wildcat or Lynx, or a Eurocopter.

RIght now, with their flagship still being the Hetman Sahaydachniy Krivak firgate, they are going to still be Russian equipment oriented.

Now THAT is immigration I 100% agree with.

They came and SERVED the nation they wanted to be a part of. They put their tails on the line and their work and service where their mouth was. No freeloading for these folks!

Military service resulting in naturalization is something I have always agreed with and it is a good, solid tradition in the US.

God bless and keep 'em!

We have talking much about Reagan new homeport to Yokosuka and Washington which he replace but also they have exchanged CAW 2 and 5.

Now Reagan have CAW 5 with 5 Sqns of Super Hornet and Growlers only CAW to get it since about 3 years yet, forward deployed then USN want more powerful, Washington have CAW 2 with 3 Super Hornet Sqns.
USN have 9 CAW : except i have ask for CAW 5 on 8 others about 4/5 have 3 Super Hornet Sqns on 4 VFA.

CAW 2 before was with Lincoln now in RCOH finished next year and very possible again.
