GaN radar on J-10C is, as far as i understand, speculation, and a rather wild one.
Verified Chinese GaN x-band radars appeared several years after its adoption...

Relationship is a bit more complicated - while J-10C certainly has way larger radar(which is a primary factor - and J-10C is particularly strong there, if understand correctly - best within class), to some degree Rafale should equal it out through the presense of second engine (it gives aircraft superior power and power agility).
How about GaN radar on PL-15?

Even in Desert Storm, US cruise missile strikes weren’t nearly as effective in taking out the Iraqi Air Force. Russia is unable to destroy very many Ukrainian aircraft as well via missiles. The evidence points to the contrary, that cruise missiles aren’t the most effective platforms to significantly degrade enemy air forces. I doubt India will have better luck than either the US or Russia
The problem in Desert Storm was US cruise missiles' DSMAC and TERCOM failing due to large swathes of Iraqi territory being identical desert terrain. Terrain matching became impossible.

____________

Summary of India's strategic losses and threat of ensuing danger:
  1. India was building rapport with the US and EU; expected them to support India against Pakistan but that totally failed. Instead, Trump has created rifts against India. Indian fury against the American response manifested with claims of shooting down F-16's.
  2. India thought Pakistan was isolated but found itself in the exact same position. Many countries openly declared support for Pakistan: China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and others; but nobody for India.
  3. Kashmir issue was brought to global attention as an international issue while India had spent years to portray it as a domestic issue.
  4. India overestimated itself and thought it could do strikes in Pakistan like how US/EU do in middleast without a response, and make it a norm (power projection), but failed at that too.
  5. (Modi's) India was supposed to go into Pakistan, throw a few bombs and then show the domestic population that they've punished some imaginary villains. This might be their biggest failure as not only did they fail their objectives but also lost serious equipment in the process, with many Indians themselves accepting that they've fkd up hard and conflict with Pakistan isn't a cake walk like in Gaza. This is a serious blow to the Hindutva strategic doctrine.
  6. Long time ally of India - Russia - was totally silent, did not declare support for India.
The nonsense you see on Indian media of Indian forces capturing Karachi, bombing major Pakistani cities like the far away Quetta, and now the recent BLA attack, are all just manifestations of facing the reality of a failed campaign. Modi is a lunatic and failed miserably. But he is still a lunatic and I'm afraid he will try another dangerous tactic instead of accepting defeat. Targetted killings and terrorism atleast.
________

Past few days, FR24 showed lot of IAF cargo moving towards the border areas (specifically, Panjab and Kashmir), similar to how IAF was moving prior to Operation Sindoor. Is round 2 around the corner?

I don’t see how it will turn out much different unless they revamp the entire aerial combat doctrine. Good luck doing that within three weeks. Also, if by some strange miracle they actually clobbered Pakistan and launch a successful invasion, China will certainly step in. It will make May 7th look like a pleasant backyard picnic in comparison.

I think this is the most credible combat scenario on 5/7 in which PAF J-10CE PL-15E shot down IAF Rafale:

What happened during the combat:
PAF Ericsson Erieye detected IAF Rafale at a distance of around 200KM.
Erieye sent detection data to J-10CE.
J-10CE fired PL-15E and guided the missile using its own AESA radar at a distance of around 180KM.

What was going on behind the scene:
Erieye is not capable of guiding PL-15E.
ZDK-03 was under upgrade and not available for this combat.

What PAF is likely going to do in next few years:
Get ZDK-03 upgraded for true A-detect/B-fire/C-guide capabilities.
Get more J-10C and PL-15E.
Get export versions of KJ-500, GX series, J-35A, and full PL-15 (>200KM)

BTW, PAF PL-15E is most likely full version, NOT export version.
