That’s just how Indians roll man. If they can’t beat you in reality, they will do everything to beat you with a keyboard. Remember how Europe found hundreds of “NEWS” sites claiming to be from the EU only to be traced back to India.
It’s to the point that I don’t even think it’s a conscious organised effort anymore. Considering the amount of BS coming from the Indians I think it’s just Indians click-bating, rage-bating and just looking to for the sweet sweet ads $. I mean nothing is easier than just copying and pasting an article and calling it news. With all the AI channels as well, just tap out some BS have text-to-speech take care of the rest.
There is a little bit of conscious effort, there used to be large number of companies that did Social media content moderation, there is still a huge market/workforce from it in india (like twitter,fb etc) but a big number of them were starting to be let go starting in 2023 onwards.
A bunch of these companies shifted to providing essentially disinfo services to Russians for cash, basically all of them got used by india themselves when they needed it.
But yes due to having a large population and equally large internet presence the rest are click-baited/duped to go along with the narrative
