The damaged VT-4 in Thailand battle field got much attention in Chinese internet. Many of my colleagues who usurally don't care about military news are talking about that
The VT-4 had been operating continuously and firing intensely since the beginning of its operational period, which may have contributed to the incident.

It remains to be seen whether the failure resulted from material fatigue, manufacturing defects, ammunition problems, or operational factors.

They think Trump is only here for one more term. They think the US is only bad because of Trump and that after the next election, the US will go back to being a good person (even though we all know that the US under Trump was the same old US, just the 'mask off' version).

And if they truly believed China would support Cambodia to win, Thailand wouldn't be in a good state like this. Look at North Vietnam or the Korean War as examples.

I am Thai too, I just haven't been one of those nationalist echo chamber types who have been living off white people's d*ck since the '70s.
Cambodian here.

I believe China does not side with Cambodia this time. I also believe the US doesn't side with Cambodia either. We are much alone in this conflict. Cambodia has a yearly joint military exercise with China. So far as I know, China never takes back those military equipment after each exercise. So, seeing a lot of Chinese equipment in Cambodia is normal.

I've been seeing such report quite many times; I'm not 100% sure if this is true. Cambodia accuses Thai army of using toxic gas in the conflict. Isn't toxic gas prohibited by international laws?

Google Translation: "On the 16th, at 07:36, the Thai military fired toxic fumes into the area of Prey Chan village."

Most likely be smoke from military smoke grenades. It is indeed toxic and may irritate respiratory systems and eyes, but militarily and legally, it is not considered "poison gas" but conventional tactical equipment.

And take care buddy

Thanks for your explanation. I live hundreds of kilometers from the front line, so, I'm safe.

I don't see China on Thailand's side either.

The Canal is obviously an important factor for China and Vietnam but what are the chances if Thailand indeed take over it and China proposes a deal with Thailand to run it together?, Assumption from Vietnam now is that Thai operation would disrupt it's progress and force China to prefer their corridor again
