...Well, my mom and papa told me
Now you better earn some money
If one of you is gonna go
Ridin' next Sunday...

Well many of us are in the age of summerjobs, usually essential to our studies so why not share our experiences, brag about the wages and so on...

I'm working at this distcritheating firm in a department of building and design of new heating pipes and so on. The job is indoor job, mostly done by computers. The wage is lousy, e.g. my brother working at constructive yard earns more than I do...but at least my work is civilengineering work and I expect it to be great help for my studies..

...Well I'm gonna raise a fuss
And I'm gonna raise a holler
About workin' all summer
Just tryin' to earn a dollar
Well, I went to my boss
Who governs me
He said, "No, dice, bud
You gotta work late...

My day is normal 8 hours a day and the athomosphere is really cool. No one is watching behind my back and I can do my task in my own pattern and rythm...(leaving a room for little foruming..;) )

...Gonna save two weeks
Gonna have a fine vacation
Gonna take my problem
To the United Nations
Well, I went to my congressman
He sent me back a note
It said, "I''d like to help you, hon
But you're too young to vote"...

I wont have any room for hollidays, and actually I don't mind, the money is more important at this moment. I'm planning to save most of it and buy myself a car and a decent set of drums...

So how about you? Lazying off or sweating like a pig?? Why not opening yourself here:D

lyrical help form Eddie Cochran...

Holidays yeah, I remember I used to have those.

As it is a heatwave, I am technically on holiday I suppose, not actively chasing my usual biz, but spending more time on other matters.

A change more than a rest:(

Well, I was hoping to relax before college when I came back to Taiwan this summer... instead I spent nearly all of my time teaching English at a "Bushiban". Ah well, at least I have one week of free time before my flight back to the States in the end of July...

Summer is OK. I don't have an official job but I've been doing stuff at my church and I make $10 an hour. In 2 weeks I go to AC Milan soccer camp. I've been using my spare time to be creative and do some artwork to get ready for school and all. Socialist Realism posters are hard.

10 $ per hour is a good wage...In early this summer I did this 2 week period for one of my uncles and get 10 € in cash...it was bit different than you might expect in a church...Usually we did some essential "planning" at the local bub...or pick a booze to him from the local liquerstore and stuff...We did some real job as well...but it usually ended up early afternoon as he (the uncle) was too busy to get drunk so he sent me home...with 10 € i didn't mind:D

No airconditioning?? I knew that.:D ..That's because it usally does not get as hot as it has been this summer...But here in the central USA..whew..you have to have AC!!. Most do....Even most cars are airconditioned..:D ..Mine isn't:mad: The bearings went out on it last year and the repair was way to costly. So I suffer when I drive in this heat.

Well, I don't have a job but I don't get to sleep in anyway. Water polo starts at 6:00 in the morning every other day. It sucks...that's the only word for it. When it's not at 6:00, its at 9:00, so we don't get too much of a break. it Goes for 3 hrs.
