I'm not sure if anyone here has mentioned this show or not, but The Expanse is another good show, based on the novels from James Corey (never read the books).

The TV show was just cancelled by Syfy channel so this is its last season. They're shopping it around where Amazon by take it.

I watched it last night. I thought as a story it was all right even though I thought it was unnecessary. The action doesn't suffer from ED like in the last two main Star Wars movies. It certainly is setup for a sequel though it seems to be headed as the worst performing Star Wars universe movies so far. I'm reading the poor performance maybe due to a backlash. When I read comments it does certainly seem a lot hate is towards Kathleen Kennedy and her comments towards critical Star Wars fan boys writing them off as sexist. Yeah great way to destroy the Star Wars franchise thinking women are going to replace the central pillar of Star Wars fandom. Now the Boba Fett movie has gotten the greenlight. The thing is it might suffer from the same fate. The Boba Fett lore is more the imagination of fans because as some naysayers have pointed out, what in the movies says Boba Fett was as great as the reputation given to him? The same thing about Captain Phasma built as the new Boba Fett. Captain Phasma has a cool suit of armor and that was it. All Boba Fett did was track Han to Bespin and his "death" was humiliating. So the only thing he has is being Mandalorian and their lore. Han Solo was a smuggler and he made the Kessel Run in 12 parsecs. That's basically a footnote in the movie. The whole thing of how Han and Chewie met and why Chewie is loyal by saving his life... not really that interesting of a story. I guess one can spin that was saving Chewie's life. You essentially have tidbits from the original movies of these characters' past and they have to build a new story around it. Han was supposed to be a womanizing scoundrel. You don't really get that and they have to portray that Han is motivated by being good and not by money and himself. I guess that's why some fans don't like this movie because Han isn't the Han that they know. Are they going to do that with Boba Fett where they have make him a good guy somewhere in there or he's misunderstood?

Now there's talk that Disney might stop aiming for at least one Star Wars movie a year because of Solo's poor performance. There's also talk of making Star Wars movies like the Marvel Cinematic Universe where they're all connected with a common over-arching plot. Problem is they're making movies about the past. Also they have to get rid of Kathleen Kennedy and JJ Abrams. Frankly they should completely eject Force Awakens and Last Jedi from canon and start over.

They need to turn those amazing game trailers into full length movies. Some of the trailers, like those of The Old Republic, are absolutely classic. I was literally mesmerized by those mini-movies when I first saw them... The story and the drama are incredible.

It’s so amazing that there is no dialogue whatsoever in those trailers, but you feel so compelled by the story.

Knights of the Eternal Throne and Knights of the Fallen Empire are particularly good.

The MCU works because they have so many characters, each of which has a unique story and feel. The Star Wars so far is just the same story rehashed over and over. Always about the Skywalkers...

Even with Solo, it is still the same story. Yes, it’s not Skywalkers any more, but it is still an extension of the same story. They need to come up with new characters and give to them independent stories.

My suggestion for the Star Wars franchise would be to stop making the Episodes after IX. And stop making those Boba Fett or Yoda movies. Nothing about anything that has anything to do with the Skywalkers.

They gotta let the audience’s imagination run wild. Start a series on the original Sith Lords.

And again, can someone at Sony make a deal with the gamers who made the Old Republic so that they can turn the game into a full length movie?????? And when they do, please please let the guys who originally made those trailers write and direct the movies!!!!!!

Man! I just can’t stop talking about those Star Wars game trailers. I think I must’ve watched Knights of the Eternal Throne for 15 times straight when I first found out about it... I was so shocked and sad when the mother went through hell to save her daughter but the daughter had become evil and turned away and left her own mom surrounded by enemies.

Same with Knights of the Fallen Empire. Man, I was so sad when one of the twins accidentally killed his own brother...

awesome story-telling without a single sound from any of the characters.
