Oh heck "NOO" I don't like it one bit! It sound stupid, IMO, it leaves no imagination for the viewer to see what's going inside Anahin Skywalker's mind during that time. Thanks for the video though Popeye!

I had bought the blue rays but didn't open it to watch until I read this article. Yeah the prequel looked better simply because the special effects technology is superior but as far as what this author pointed out... I couldn't disagree more. I agree that good science fiction is a comment on what's going on now in the real world but George Lucas just executed it wrong. It was just too melodramatic that I had to fast forward on anything having to do with Anakin Skywalker talking. Even the kid. He was just a little too whiny to think he's Darth Vader.

As you said a while ago, I think it's a generational thing and also the order in which you watched the movies in.

I mean to me luke skywalker was as annoying for me in the a new hope as anakin was in a phantom menace. It seems like the whole skywalker family are all whiners before they discover their calling as masters of the force.

The connection between the prequels and real life events were interesting too, and in that aspect it's wrong to dismiss the prequel trilogy. But if the problem is the original trilogy has a place in people's hearts, and the acting, characters, plotting in the original and prequel trilogies were both not particularly "good" so I always internally giggle/sigh when people go out ripping the prequel trilogy to shreds.

I'll agree that Mark Hamill wasn't the greatest of actors but I think he fit better for what Luke Skywalker was. Here's another thing about the prequels was the Anakin/Padme romance. I don't think George is good at love stories.

the reason why Star Wars was (is) very cool is Vader, and light sabers, and the Galactic Empire, and Solo, and.... :D

I never really liked either Star Wars or Star Trek. Now Stargate, that's a fun show! (Not SG: Universe though. That show just sucks.)

C'mon man! Star Trek is smart, and Star Wars is cool for it's ships and space stations battling each other out. Stargate lose it when Richard Dean Anderson (Known as McGyver) character was no longer there. Now the show have this unknown ship with a crew who is away from our solar system therefore has to find a livable planet to survive. I mean the concept is cool, but the plot is a rip off from "Lost".

I liked stargate and star wars. Stargate's premise of space adventure and shenanigans in a modern setting is great. Star wars... like paintgun said, vader, light sabres... and ships.

Star trek with their unitard uniforms never really resonated with me >_>
