Netflix also has a new show based on the movie Scream. It's also named "Scream". It's a typical slasher horror flick but well-made. I love it. We binge watched the whole season in one day...

Harper island is also a good show. The rumor has it that not even the actors knew who was the bad guy when they were shooting the show. And spoiler alert! Everyone was shocked when they found out...

I liked it a lot. For me it was as if the show runner put E.T., Stephen King's It and Stand By me, and a pinch of X-Files into a blender (and in a very positive way). Even though many elements and concepts are familiar and predictable, everything is executed so well that I couldn't stop watching it.

It's not a bad show. I just feel that the pace could be a little faster. I'm 6 eps into the show but still have no idea what the connection is between the girl with shaved head and the monster from another dimension. Please don't tell me! I want to find out myself...

Has anyone watched Marco Polo on Netflix? We watched one episode and stopped. It's not bad but... Don't know.

For me the atmosphere was part of the appeal. When they actually started explaining stuff the show actually went downhill for me.

Marco Polo distorts history so much. Apparently the Song Dynasty were aggressors against the Mongols. WTF?

Well it makes sense from a historical perspective. Marco Polo visited China during the Yuan dynasty, and the Mongol rulers at the time probably went to great lengths to vilify the Song dynasty and justify their invasion and conquest.

They also made Jia Sidao a kungfu master who excelled in the Mantis style (not invented till the Ming Dynasty".

It will be interesting to see how big Forest Whittaker's role is in the movie. The reshoots people have been talking about... his parts must have all been reshot since in the first teaser he was bald unless somewhere in the movie they shaved his head. And he may have a different accent.
