I'm very impressed how serious and efficient Korea is slowly getting their domestic fighter ready.

Indeed and like I already say since years. This is - besides the FC-31 - IMO the most realistic one of those currently under development including the Turkish TFX and India's AMCA.

Why does south korea needs an aircraft carrier, if they have a northern border with a potencial enemy equiped with a big army? wouldnt it be wise to invest those resources in the land and air armies?

Geography. The Korean Peninsula is still a peninsula. Just like during the Korean War, you can park a carrier off either coast and launch strikes at any target you want. If you launch strikes from S.Korea, radar will see you coming the second youre off the ground.
