It has been reported that the South Korean government has agreed to transfer one of the six KF-21 prototype aircraft to Indonesia, a partner in the joint development of the Korean-made KF-21 “Boramae” fighter jet.

According to documents submitted by the DAPA, South Korea and Indonesia reached an agreement last February on the value transfer plan for the KF-21 joint development project.

The value transfer is estimated at 600 billion won, which is the amount Indonesia contributed to the KF-21 development process, and consists of one prototype, technology transfer, and the provision of development data.

The value transfer includes 350 billion won for the fifth KF-21 prototype, 174.2 billion won for technology transfer, and 75.8 billion won for development data.

This certainly came out of nowhere...

Indonesia placed an order for 12 Kizilelma, with an option for an additional 48, making them the first foreign customer of the aircraft. First delivery will be in 2028 and a local production and maintenance center will be established.

Edit: Oh, it's with Republikorp again...

Norway canceled a contract between Kongsberg and Malaysia for Naval Strike Missiles and its launchers after the Nordic country implemented new arms restrictions. Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim protested the decision on Thursday.

Malaysia was set to procure the Naval Strike Missiles and associated equipment from the Norwegian-based contractor for six Maharaja Lela-class Littoral Combat Ships under a $145 million contract signed in 2018. In 2025, Malaysia agreed to another $11.19 million contract for NSM launchers to be installed on the Royal Malaysian Navy’s two in-service Lekiu-class frigates. Malaysia has already paid more than 95 percent of the 2018 contract’s value, according to Malaysian officials.

“Signed contracts are solemn instruments. They are not confetti to be scattered in so capricious a manner,” Anwar said in a

[....] Norway’s revocation may be related to the NSM utilizing a U.S.-made gyroscope component that the U.S. is now restricting exportation of to third parties, an official told USNI News. Gyroscopes are used to measure orientation angles and the rate of change in missiles with the data used to keep the missile on course.

[....] “If European defense suppliers reserve the right to renege with impunity, their value as strategic partners flies out the window,” Anwar said.

[....] Malaysia’s Boustead Naval Shipyard (BNS) won a contract in 2014 to build six ships, which are based on French company Naval Group’s Gowind-class corvette design. The Royal Malaysian Navy and the Malaysian government were locked in a dispute over the weapons systems for the ship. The Malaysian government preferred a combination of the Exocet surface-to-surface missile and vertical-launched Mica surface-to-air missile, while the Malaysian Navy recommended the NSM and Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile. Ultimately, the ships were designed to field NSM and VL Mica.

Paris must be loving this. NSM is probably a more capable weapon than the endlessly reheated Exocet (as ESSM is compared to VL MICA), but incidents like this validate the basic French sales pitch of western weapons without western strings attached.

Colonel
It looks pretty heavy to move.
They should use bigger wheels, or even just a wheelbarrow system. Those little dinky wheels are only good for smooth indoor floors gonna go slow on soft ground and get stuck.

On the other hand i don't think it has a horizontal transverse joint so they probably have to rotate the whole thing to track objects in the air. In that case they might need it in the current config, but I'm sure something better could be possible.
