SinoDefenceForum is ONE year old!

Looks like we all missed the birthday of SinoDefenceForum.com!

SDF turned one year old on august 25th, 2006!

Good job everybody, and thank you to the members who keep it going. Please invite your friends and let others know about it on other websites that you participate on.

The partnership between DefenceTalk.com + SinoDefence.com is great. We've done a great job and will continue to do so in the future with related projects.

We've come a long way from the old forum...

This is great. We have developed a great page with intelligent and well moderated talk about not only PLA defense issues but world wide defense matters. We 'da bomb!:nana:

when the forum reaches it's 10 year aniversary, we are to hold a big party among us still around..

Madmax, we will become a lot active as time passes. It has only grew since the last year so expect SDF to be busier place in coming months. One thing you will need to keep in mind is that the reason why a lot of other boards are "busy" is because they allow things like:

-useless one liners
-flame wars (that is one of the tricks used by the administrators to get people to post, NOT on SDF or DT, etc.)
-Political comments within Defence/Military related threads... which turns into a mud slinging contest!
-useless chatter

We control much of the stuff (listed above) that other forums value... SDF has strict rules and mods who love to enforce 'em. This philosophy is straight from SDF's parent site and its forum, DefenceTalk.com where it was first applied and has been a great success so far.


SDF shows up in top 10 5 if not top 10 for major chinese and defence forum related search keywords on google and other search engines.

Goll, 10 years maybe far away... DefenceTalk's 10 years are fast approaching, maybe then....

The old ezboard is definitely funny when looking back. Fried called Webmaster a nazi for deleting too many posts, lol! and of course all the crazy stuff such as the battle against britishboi and the later vince. and we had no ip banning ability! And i had more than 1200 posts... how on earth did I get so many?

I wonder where we would all be by the 10th anniversary, as a lot of us are still in school.

I never realised the forums had been open for less than a year. But then again I suppose communities can grow quickly.

Anyway, congratulations are in order - let's hope for another good year.

Wow.... congrats to SDF. It does look like SDF has benefitted recently from the demise of CDF.

well technically it has been open for longer if you count ezboard and all the other previous hosts it used (i've heard it used to be some yahoo hosting stuff before ezboard?)
