Is there a posibility that the Sino-Tibetan countries (China, Myanmar and Bhutan and maybe Nepal) unite into one?

Absolutely not, what a ridiculous idea. China is not going to take in 80 million poor brown people who can't live in peace with each other.

Importing mass amount of Indians (Nepal), drug dealers, warlords, human traffickers (Myanmar), and religious fundamentalists (Bhutan) is something Murica does, not China.

Not so long as China has more pressing matters to attend to (i.e. Taiwan).

Afterwards, perhaps. China could set up the modern version of the old tributary system where these nations can enjoy preferential economic policies in exchange for strategic considerations.

Bad idea all round. The ethnic tensions in Myanmar are a sisyphean burden to manage even for their own people, nevermind for Beijing as an outsider. Bhutan and Nepal tends to have leanings towards India culturally and politically, which makes affairs with India even more problematic to manage. Even if the option was on the table, they are rather unattractive given those issues.

Horrible idea. As horrible as integrating Mongolia into China.

  1. These countries are all very impoverished and backward even when compared to the poorest Chinese provinces (Bhutan in particular is still a feudal society). China would have to pour considerable resources, time and human capital into developing these areas -- education, infrastructure, medicine, etc.
  2. Many of these countries are sinophobic. A large portion of the PAP would have to be deployed for an extended amount of time to control dissent.
  3. Anything China wants from these countries, it can simply buy. If they refuse to sell, China buys from someone else.
  4. China would needlessly aggravate many of its largest neighbors, particularly India, by gobbling up smaller countries. I'm all for fucking with India but there needs to be a benefit derived from doing so, and in this case the benefits are nil.
