Should term limit for China's presidency remain the same, be extended, or eliminated?

Funny, this is the second time this week someone tried to use this survey to exonerate the US of corruption. Are you a liberal (in the classical sense, you support election of politicians, constitutional limits to state power, equality of citizens under the law, protection of private property)?

one out of what 300k students yearly. somehow these not so smart went to nivida/intel etc huh. I guess by your standard, everyone stay behind in US just not smart, is that you too?

Most of the students ending up working at FANG or whatever are usually from top tier schools (maybe 20-30 schools like stanford, mit, gt, uc , etc ?) and/or grad studies. Those attract the smart students from China. But there are plenty of us schools that anyone with a pulse can get into. The whole thing is a money making thing/buisness.

if there is corruption in US, and media caught the whiff of it, it might as well be the downfall of that politician.
Rrreeeaaalllllyyyyy??? Cus if that's the case, America would have no politicians, least of all Republicans. American politicians are crooked, get caught, then play legal whack-a-mole until it's time to retire.
however if its Xi, and hes family, might as well swipe under the carpet.
That "if" in the sentence means you imagined the whole thing.
you bet, alot these from 富二代 spend parents $$$, then went back to china. the good one got hired in US.
Actually, the 富二代 like to stay in the US because their parents are corrupt and they fear getting nabbed while the good ones have more and more reason to go back to China then send out Wechat invites for collaborations to their colleagues. I've sent you plenty of articles to show that over 80% of Chinese who study abroad are choosing to go home, not because they had to and all you said was, "I see lots of Asians in SF Bay working for companies" LOLOL Repeating defeated points doesn't make them more true the second time around.

Some not so smart, some still learning and want work experience, and some still learning. Of course this is a trend, NOT that every single person who stayed is not smart. Why are you always asking people for their personal info when you cannot keep up a debate?

What is that? Is it similar to the pandemic preparedness index that showed the US at the top, Europe next, then China "kinda/not really" prepared? LOLOL

What does "might have" mean? LOLOL You're accusing someone of something that you imagined? For whom can you exclude this possibility? LOLOL

How many? Gimme a count. How many in China? Any comparison you can make? I wish there was some numerical way to sort this out instead of this "there looks like there are a lot of grains of sand on this beach" type of guesstimation. Oh right, there was: 83% return rate, and I gave it to you but you don't like it so let's pretend that "look at how many there are" is an acceptable rebuttal to empirical data LOL

There are ~1 million foreigners in American schools
There are ~500k foreigners in Chinese schools

Anyone who thinks these numbers are so vastly abnormally different that there should be an explanation is obviously a Western shill. A better question is why about 40% of the foreign students in America are Chinese, despite so many foreigners finding China a decent place to send their kids to study.

The answer is the same answer for many of the reasons we've had problems with East Asians (not just Chinese) going out of their way to promote and suck-up to White Westerners and Western Anglo society. Self-hate, low self-confidence, White worship.

China could be building Dyson Spheres while blonde-haired lily White people have regressed to a hunter-gatherer lifestyle and there would STILL be some idiot Chinese or Korean or Japanese guy or especially girl trying desperately to assimilate into their shithole.

We need to go back to the same level of pride that isolationist Japan had. For the entire East Asian community, with China leading it.

This is why the Xi is pushing so Mich on patriotism etc.

IMO the best method is by doing major scientific achievements.

The Moon lander and returning the rocks from there, was something truly impressive and it helped Chinese and the rest of the world seeing China as a scientific power.

Next step is to build the new collider CEPC in China. This would be a big big achievement if Chinese leadership agreed to fund it.

Patriotism can only take you so far, after one point you want something concrete to base your belief that a country is truly a great.

IMO science is a very good way for making people proud of their country

I see the reasons for Chinese students going to the USA as mainly being a combination of:

1. Higher prestige
2. Better? education
3. Higher average wages after graduation and a less competitive job landscape
4. Parents looking for an insurance policy abroad in case anything happens in China

I also see these reasons disappearing as China develops.

Japan used to send a lot of students to US universities.
But now Japan barely sends any.
