Source video.
The uploader whose IP address is located in Liaoning province, claims that he used a telescope to identify it as the SHADE.
Since it was shot on an iPhone and the distance is so great, we can't really tell if it's real deal or not. We'll need more videos to confirm.

Edit: Shenyang has a population of 9 million, and on a clear day, he's the only one who captured this on video. I find that incredibly bizarre...
True but most people are working and doing other everyday concerns and they are most likely not PLA/PLAAF fans like we are so that leaves a small, small number even looking to the skies.

Nevermind doubting for now the image/video veracity, but Captain is a pretty reliable source, isn't he?

Nah... what he did is only repost it and say "Shenyang 6gen??"

He also said this:

"Regarding the information/news on the J-XDS that can be confirmed, so far everything is progressing smoothly, and the testing and evaluation progress/stage is basically on the same tempo/page as the J-36. Besides, the J-XDS had another test flight this afternoon, but since there are no clear/detailed photos, here are some older photos and CGIs of the J-XDS".

SAC’s facilities are further from urban areas than CAC’s.

Is the SAC airport further away from the city than the CAC airport? Quite interesting that there are so many high res images of the J-36 but none of the SAC 6th gen.

There are some pretty good pictures of J-35s coming from there so surely there must be some of J-50 as well, but we are at the mercy of whoever decides when they will be released.

Unfortunately, Shenyang is quite different from Chengdu when it comes to OPSEC and some other factors at play.

Compared to the J-20 - How many times do we actually get timely updates on the J-35/A's development? Not a lot, to be honest. Has anyone managed to get hold of the J-35/A's first flights' photos and video until now?

And with Shenyang AC to increase or shift their production lines to somewhere even more rural in the next couple years - New updates on the J-35/A and J-XDS(H?) are only going to get even harder to come by.

Also, Shenyang's daytime temperature is in the low single digits these days. I don't think people there would be as eager to take out their phones whenever a J-35/A or J-XDS flies overhead compared to people in the relatively warmer Chengdu. (This also partially explains why there were comparably much fewer clearer/detailed photos and footages of the J-XDS's first flight than J-36 in late-December last year).

Really? Are there really that many „pretty good pictures of J-35s coming from there“? Yes, we have a few but not many and often more blurry than this from CAC.

Well, the various prototypes of J-35 (not to mention FC-31s) pictured in the air and on the ground that have been posted over the years, aren't they mostly from Shenyang? Not referring to the ones from Zhuhai of course.
