Uhh, uhhh ... only one day left to at least show us V2 to celebrate the 4th anniversary of V1's maiden flight ... but to admit; I won't hold my breath !

A possible alternative could be this thing: Even if only a what-if made by my friend Bai Wei :yahoo: I suggest this to pass over the design to CAC. Just add a WS-15 and finish the design ... simply amazing !

If you want for few J-10 have a CR in average of 1000 km vs 1200 it is a very good CR for the J-10 a medium fighter, F-16 900 km same category C/D can be compared for A2A capacities with J-10A and last F-16 with J-10B.
But J-10 is less good for A2G a weapons panoply less important variedpayload inferior 6.5 t vs 7,7 t
and mainly only 1000 LBs bombs vs 2000 for F-16 which is the mass necessary vs big targets or burried.
And much Flanker variants are armed only with 1000 lbs in more free fall for a reason more oriented for A2A missions.
In general Western fighters-bombers are more capable for A2G ( weapons panoply, payload, designators ) only exception Su-34 but the F-15E is the best.

There is a good technical reason for that: Western air forces are often in action against quite inferior opponents so that their aircraft would be of little use unless they can carry a sizeable bomb load. The air forces of China and Russia do not have that incentive.

I don't wish to draw too many conclusions from this rather-inconclusive photo, but the people on the left seems to be gathered around a presenter. And then again, inspecting a booth could be purely out of interest or free time.
